Being deprived of
the tender touch of
passionate green
twenty-seven long springs of life
filled with empty akin.
Yet , invincible was
Your spirit and conviction.
The flow of unconditional love
from heart to heart
sinks in absolute emptiness.
Fierce and innumerable
stormy blows of fairness of complexion
Were resisted by you with
head held high.
Was being black such a crime
to takeaway the right
to touch the sky?
Can the irresistible desire
to lead a life of dignity
be trempled for only color?
You were the only light of hope
for millions of downtrodden
starving black.
I salute you
O dear Mandela !
You were great
You were invicible
You are unforgettable !
