Remembering Amrita Pritam

In pursuit of pure love
Seeking freedom of soul and mind
A lovely bard with a broken heart
Found refuge in him.

He was a great bard
A wizard of pen, loving and kind
With enchanting words
He knew the hearts to bind.

They adored each other
Their feelings so profound and intense
'twas Only an everlasting bond
Between two hearts
Without a mortal name.

Note: We pay homage to the great Indian poetess Amrita Pritam, the recipient of 'Academy Award'
for her poetry endowed with mysticism on her auspicious birthday.

We also remember her immortal love for another great poet.
